If laughter is the best medicine, I firmly believe that I will never be sick with Mr. IT.
Monday night, I had the best laugh of my life. The laugh lasted from dinner, all the way to the good night kiss. Mr. IT and I went to Madison’s for dinner, and then back to his place for some romance and Monday night football. (Side note: J-E-T-S! JETS! JETS! JETS!!!)
While we were in our romantic part of the night, we found out that we matched… with our underoos. Bright turquoise underoos. Holy awkward! But we both laughed it off, and had a great time. So great, in fact, that I busted out into uncontrollable laughter for a good 5 minutes! He was laughing at me laughing so hard, that it just made for the best type of awkward moment, ever.
That night made me really think about relationships, and what I want from a relationship. When it’s all said and done, and we’re old and wrinkly and toothless, and our men have heart conditions so Viagra won’t work, what really matters?

Tonight my lovah took me to my favorite restaurant in Hoboken- Elysian Cafe. It’s an adorable little French bistro on 9th and Washington. It has an outdoor patio and really yummy food. It’s just one of those nice spots to sit, people watch and just enjoy your surroundings.
After dinner, he took me on a tour of Stevens. Although I’ve lived in Hoboken for a year, I never bothered to walk on the campus… partly because I wasn’t sure that I was allowed to haha. My lovah doesn’t like to show PDA, but while on our tour, he took my hand, held me in his arms. It was so sweet. I’m not sure what I enjoyed more, being near him, or the gorgeous view. The lights of the city, and the clear skies, and even the few stars. It was like magic.
It was like the perfect impromptu date on a beautiful October evening. I just love great nights like this.
My intellectual property class is just starting to cover Copyrights today. In light of that, I figure I would share a very interesting article written by one of my fellow students at NYLS.
I feel like Savage Beauty, the Met exhibit that displayed Alexander McQueen’s fashion designs, was fairly groundbreaking. Although it was by no means the first fashion exhibit, it was most likely the first fashion exhibit to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors. Savage Beauty definitely brought the blurred lines between art and fashion to the forefront.
So where does this leave fashion, as far as copyrights are concerned? Well, I’m just starting to learn about copyrights, so I won’t bother to post my guess on that just yet. But go read the article! Very, very interesting stuff :)
Happy October! It is officially my favorite season. I feel like I can say that now, because, honestly, September was not feeling very autumn-ish. I am looking forward to apple and pumpkin picking, baking pies, autumn colors and smells, and of course the start of the holiday season (it starts with Halloween- didn’t you know?)
I’m curious. Do any of you in the Hoboken/NYC area have any special fall traditions?
Also - Happy Birthday to one of my bestest friends in the whole world, Justin!
