Morning: I woke up, had coffee with one of my many bffs, Dev, and then made blueberry pancakes for Mr. IT. It was my first time “cooking” for him, and I am so happy that the stove didn’t set fire and nothing was burnt and no pans were destroyed. And the pancakes turned out DELICIOUS. Spent some nice time cuddling, then headed to Starbucks to do work.
Afternoon: Applied to one of my many dream jobs. I am hoping that they will reply saying “YES! We’ve been looking all over for you. You are hired! No need to come in for an interview!!!” The reality will probably be no response at all. Currently eating an egg salad sandwich and listening to Norah Jones and some annoying young children and the mommy group at the table next to me. Seriously, moms in Hoboken… some of you should really teach your children to behave. Sorry.
UPDATE: Little girl next to me says that when she grows up she wants to be a blue dinosaur. I am petrified of dinosaurs… proof that children are evil.
I’m going to study and outline for Corporations for the rest of the afternoon. I love this class, so this is actually a treat for me.
Tonight I saw my *insert adjective here* ex’s friend. He looked me up and down. I couldn’t tell if he had forgotten that he knows me and was checking me out, or was just checking my height to determine the size of the plank that he would need for burning this witch. Regardless, I smiled politely and then rolled my eyes and smirked as he walked out the door. I laugh in the face of awkward moments.
Sitting in an IP symposium at my school. They’re talking about patents, and this is way over my head. But Lady Gaga is on the screen, and they’re talking about shrinkwrap. I kind of understand Gaga haha.
I can’t do this. I was up until 3 trying to perfect my assignment, which I thought was due this morning, but I’m guessing its not. I need caffeine.
To help me get through the rest of my agreement summaries that are due for Fashion Law, I decided to download a few jazzy compositions from movie scores. I can’t help but think of how I’d rather be with Mr. IT than writing about quality assurance right now. Since the theme from Thomas Crown Affair is playing, let’s show all of these emotions through screen shots from the film! Yay for Faye!
My good friend got us tickets to the HBO Premiere Screening for Game Change. I have to say, I really did enjoy it. It just made me very uncomfortable for about 95% of the time, because of the fact that some of the people who were being portrayed in the movie were in the audience with me haha.
Louis Vuitton sent Penn Law students a cease-and-desist letter for their infringing use of the LV trademarks on a flyer promoting a student organization’s IP Event focusing on fashion law. My thoughts… LV is wasting a lot of time by going after the little guys. I am not even sure that the flyer dilutes or leads to consumer confusion. Louis Vuitton should cease-and-desist being a fashion law bully.
